Clifford James sells mens and womens shoes and clothing, and has a database of over 600,000 loyal customers. Although, the business has become one of the largest suppliers of shoes in the UK, we have never lost sight of what has taken us here, namely quality and value for money.

I contacted you and was told it was on the delivery truck etc - which it wasn't - I am very dissappointed and will probably not use you again. Product rating : Packaging was burst and nuts missing - had to use my own to finish. Read more	I am really sorry for the delivery problems you received; this type of service is not acceptable. We entrusted our parcels in good faith to our couriers and unfortunately they let us down badly on this occasion. This was most certainly not up to our usual standards and as an apology I have issued a full refund for the postage charge for this order. Normally when we give a delivery timescale we stick to it and indeed in most cases parcels arrive sooner than promised. Kind regards Customer Service
14-Aug-2012	Garden Tree Seat	Service Product	Service rating : I didn't get any tracking info about the parcel, but when I phoned I was told this was due to the weight and that it had been shipped with a different courrier. It did arrive when they said it would. I wish I had been sent an email explaining. Product rating : I read reviews before purchase so was expecting it to rust quickly which it has, particulalrly around the weld points. The paint finish is generally poor. I have already had to use some Hammerite paint on the rusty areas and I think it has only been undercoated. The fitting instructions were poor and we ended up ignoring them as it was physically impossible to fit it together as described even with 2 people. We also had to bend a couple of the pieces to make it fit together, so it is a good thing the metal is quite soft. If I had paid full price I would have sent it back, but the offer price is fair for what it is, so we have kept it. I have given it a good overall due to the price and the seat itself does what expected, but we will probably have to repaint the whole thing at some point. Read more	No Comment

The only negative was that the item was poorly packed and the box had opened causing some nuts to fall out and be lost. The problem appears to have been with the selotape holding the lid, this had come unstuck, causing the box to open. It would make sense to secure this item with a strap. CJ immediately supplied me with more nuts once I had contacted them without any fuss. Product rating : I am very pleased with this item. The garden seat was as advertised and well made. It fitted together easily and looks good. It could probably have done with another coat of paint as rust spots are already showing, but this seems to add to the look. Read more	No Comment
