Service rating : My rating is based on the postage/shipping charges for another order which I cancelled because of the charge which was 45UK Pounds for items which would have weighed very little. They were fly line leaders, tippets foam indicators and the like. The rating for the fly box is, however, excellent as the postage charge was only 5 UK Pounds for an item which would have weighed more than the items above.Product rating : Product works well and appears well made.14-Feb-2012Whilst I appreciate the apology it does not explain the massive shipping charges of 45 UK Pounds quoted for a pack of very light materials. I have recently received a fly-fishing reel from another dealer in the UK which was sent via Royal Mail signed for delivery and it cost only 12UK Pounds for postage. I will not be buying from Fishtec again until I can be satisfied that you have the postage system under control

Compartements not very deep but qute adequate, just dont overfill. Slit foam was not very well stuck down, but easily rectified. A real bargain at the sale price of only £7.99

I think the service is excellent, The kit comes quickly and is well packaged. I couldn't ask for more./ Actually I could; I know it's not really their remit but I would love to have some simple information on how to set the kit up properly. A lot of people look at the catalogue for fly fishing and are scared off by all the different lines; I know because I was one of them. I ended up paying for a course to teach me and even now I would still like a bit of simple info in the catalogue. Like a skilled fly fisherman suggesting which backing, fly line, leader etc to put together for say small lakes, reservoirs etc. Also which are the best knots to use. It is very confusing especiall if you consult a book that is 30 years old when half the current kit doesn't seem to have been invented, or maybe it was called something else. So in short, more expert advice and info in the catalogue please.
