Dear Customer, I am sorry you have had this issue. We haven't had it before with this product. The 2x AA batteries included are Test batteries that are added free of charge by the manufacturer in the kit enabling the buyer start using the machine. These are not meant to last long anyway. We do not included or exclude any part from this kit and supposed to forward the kit as it is without opening and making any changes. The price £20.75 is a fraction of the price available at most other medical suppliers and in order to be able to offer this price with item available in ready stock, we need to buy in big bulk quantities. At times, this might mean that the last few pieces have shorter expiry. Although I am not sure if the use by date on batteries was 2019 or whether that was the manufacturing date. The item is out of stock and not available so I cannot check. The batteries included are free of cost and included only to start using the machine. These were not meant to be long lasting batteries anyway. The machine was supplied c.£5+ cheaper than any other medical supplier which means that you are not losing out either way. Hi John, Thanks for the review. These dressings are used in hospital and surgeries and a brand renowned for it's quality. However, you have awarded only 3 stars. I was wondering if there was anything wrong? with regards Four Square Healthcare
