Yes, I realize that cancelling is sometimes necessary, but my impression and the impression of very many Islanders is that Condor uses the weather as an excuse for not running undersubscribed services. One day last March when I had a friend stranded on Guernsey, the excuse was that roads around Poole were icy. I checked with various forecasts and this appeared not to be the case. Last time I checked, Liberation did not travel on roads. I am from the Isle of Wight and our current generation of ferries almost never cancel. Their predecessors were notorious for doing so, and always trotted out the "health and safety if our passengers and crew" mantra.
