Thank you so much for kindly taking the time to review the service you received. We were extremely sorry to note your disquiet with regard to the transfer arrangements, which we must say were extremely concerned about following your comments. We have now investigated the arrangement with our transfer supplier and have been assured that the gentleman that greeted you in the baggage hall is the transfer companies transfer representative. His role is to find all guests together with their baggage and ****** them to the relevant vehicle and driver to avoid the wrong guests getting in the wrong vehicle (as the drivers often have limited English and in the peak summer months the airport is very busy). We completely accept this is a slightly different way for the transfer to work and we shall update our itinerary to show this as the procedure so that other guests are made aware. Secondly, with regard to the route taken to the hotel. There are two routes to Plaka from Heraklion, one that goes through Agios Nikolaos and a second one via the village of Fourni. The second route is used during peak traffic times and we have been informed this is the route they took you on, again we will update our itinerary to advise this so. We have passed on your comments regarding breakfast to the hotel team and they have been well received. They have informed us that all staff are briefed and if any guests have concerns regarding food temperature- food can be cooked freshly to order or reheated as hot buffet breakfasts are difficult to keep hot. The hotel apologise that your concerns were not dealt with by the team at the time. The Discerning Collection is run primarily on feedback from our guests and to that end we are always keen to hear your thoughts so we can improve our service in the future so thank you again for your constructive comments and we hope we have allayed some of the fears that you had.
