Not told that they only accept credit card. Told we can't hire van as we only had debit card. Arrived and was told that even if we had the credit card their "policy" is to charge double the advertised

We have investigate this with Sixt directly, who have confirmed that they do accept UK debit cards for van hire and as such would not be the reason the van hire was declined. We do clearly state during the booking process, and also clearly on your booking voucher, that a refundable deposit amount will be requried upon arrival with the rental supplier Sixt. good, but the extra cancellation payment of £10 was a rip off , as couldnt cancel on the day anything

Thank you for your comments. We do clearly advise before purchasing this cancellation option, that you can only cancel 48 hours prior to the pick up date and time.
