Hello , We are saddened to read your review following the first part of the treatment program. We take all feedback very seriously and we are disappointed that you have chosen not to undertake the prescribed course of 3 treatments. The recommended protocol is to have 3 treatments within a 12 month period ( at least 6 weeks apart) as this has been shown to give the maximum benefits in clinical studies. We would encourage you to continue with the course. There will have been some early changes to the collagen and repeated treatments have been seen to give the best results. We would welcome you rebooking for the remainder as advised during consultation. You will also find more information here https://www.thewomenshealth.clinic/vaginal-rejuvenation/ and on your post treatment leaflet which you were given at the time of your first treatment
In terms of your comment regarding the sensation, this is usually short lasting and the heat delivered by the laser is required to stimulate the proteins that trigger collagen growth. Some clients that have found this a little uncomfortable have found that taking simple analgesia prior to appointments, such as paracetemol has helped them find this short lived discomfort easier. This discomfort is usually only felt externally at the point the laser is fired as there are very few nerve endings in the vaginal canal. The sensation lasts for a few hours and is comparable to sunburn/prickly heat and loose clothing is advised as per the post procedure leaflet.
From our clinical experience, those ladies who have had vaginal deliveries do tend to see more benefits towards the later part of the program and this fits in with the clinical studies that show the maximum benefits under the microscope are seen from treatment number 3 and beyond
