Hands up! Mea culpa! We had had the villa on a two year let thatwe had not had access to until three days before the holiday let that has madethese comments. There were so many things missing from the house that we almosthad to start from ground zero.
We were so occupied providing crucial items like sheets, pillows, towels etc. (of which there were virtually none left ), that we did not notice that the ice maker, CD player, kettle and toaster had all dissapeared! We had two cleaners in the house for two days so the‘unclean’ comment is ridiculous, especially as all sheets, pillows and towels were brand new the day before their arrival. How often can one say that in a holiday rental?!
All the missing items (that I honestly hadn’t time to note before they arrived), I replaced the for them, brand new, the following day. The cost of supplying these and the other ‘missing’ items was 530€ so we were already running at a huge loss.
The photos were of the house before this let so many things had been moved around, but were not ‘missing' and nothing was in ‘store', they were just in different places to that in the photos. The details that Panoramic had were from two years ago and I had forgotten to check them when we re-kindled our relationship. But the satellite TV channel had disappeared last year leaving us without TV. Details of which are now noted with Panoramic. I have been offering a big TV that plays videos with a box full of every video imaginable plus a very strong wifi connection enabling realtime UK TV viewingthrough 'viewabroad'. On whatever device. One can be borrowed from the owner!
The discount requested I considered to be incredibly cheeky after they had arrived two hours after agreed time ruining my evening, I had then chauffeured her husband around the town for a few hours and back to find food etc (as they had not hired a car). Further I had provided all the missing items, brand new, by midday the following day. They had also arrived on a late booking discount that was way below the usual price so I considered the discount request to be a bad attempt to take advantage. I get the feeling they might make a habit of this. The house is beautiful and unlike almost any other on the costa for it’s ‘Unruly but sumptuous’ garden. At the moment there is a French family there who think it is the most beautiful house they have ever rented.
