Sold me a 500watt bass amp to go through a 400watt cabinet have since learnt this is wrong and could blow the speakers if turned up to loud!

So sorry to read your feedback, and really wish you had called the shop with your concerns. We had previously spoken to Ashdown with regards to using the RM-500 Evo Head with the Eden cab. We were informed that the amp would perform fine with the cab as long as the amp was not ran at peak continuously – which we understood whilst demoing, would not be an issue – sorry of we got this wrong. It certainly was not our intention to mislead you, your amp and cab are covered under a full warranty, if you still have any concerns please contact the shop – we pride ourselves on our customer service and we are here to help.

That’s ok, you’re right I should have contacted the store first, was doing some research on line and posted this review in the heat of the moment! Thanks for the info I doubt it will be run at peak very often if at all.
