Thanks for replying to the questionnaire. The resort is extremely well maintained has good amenities (restaurants, pools, spa & sports) but it is a drive to the nearest towns for alternative places to eat out. We do, though, highly recommend Tribeca restaurant in the next door village, Serra del Rey. Justin

Thanks for your feedback - delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We agree that the quiet rural location with plenty of green space is a real plus at Chateau de Salles. Really sorry to hear about the ants - the on-site team are usually very good at dealing with any problems they are made aware of. Sounds like you enjoyed the vineyard and the cottage! It is a lovely spot. Regarding the cleaning, this is not uncommon with French cottage owners. Justin

thanks for writing. Really pleased you had a good time. The chalets (rather than apartments) are the better option but realise they were all booked when you made your reservation. The accommodation is still a significant step up from mobile homes though. Not sure I would agree about the space on the park especially with the lake and beach next door. However, for more green space on the park I would recommend Chateau de Salles holiday park between Arcachon and Bordeaux. Agree that Biscarrosse Plage is better for teenagers but the lakes area and the Cottages du Lac site is definitely one for young families. Thanks again for your feedback. Justin
