They need to protect the silcon from bursting in the packaging when they send.

Thanks for the feedback. As you can imagine we don't send it out damaged, so its done in transit by the courier.We send around 30,000 of these type of packages out a year with a handful of damages, so its unusual to see this.We don't have any record of being contacted by yourself regarding this matter - We do have e mails about previous purchases of the same product though. So if you would care to e mail in, we will get a new tube of silicone dispatched.
