Dear Elizabeth, thank you for subscribing. 
The Christmas offer remains one of our best-value subscriptions - with a choice of free book and our lowest annual price regardless of whether you pay by card, cheque or direct debit. The "10 issues for £10" offer shown in the paper does offer a low trial price, but after the initial weeks the annual price is actually the same as the Christmas offer (without the free book!). 
It's rare that we dedicate an entire page of the paper to a subscription offer - you'll notice that these are usually much smaller.
