Response on behalf of the Owner; I am shocked and rather confused with this review. I would like to address the customer’s comments.
Dated / refurbishment - The property has in the past 6 months been repainted and repapered (feature walls), and has had new internal doors that are far more in keeping with character of the property. The kitchen and bathroom were replaced less than 18 months ago. There are new blinds and soft furnishings in the cottage.
Dog "poo" bags and scoop - We do provide a scoop for any dog mess, and this was pointed out to the customer on arrival, the customer informed me that she always took her own scoop wherever they went. We do not provide "poo" bags, but there are small plastic bin bags in the general cleaning cupboard outside the cottage if required.
Wi-Fi - The cottages do not have Wi-Fi, but we find that the majority of people who stay have Smartphones, and receive Wi-Fi through their phones. We are attached to the hotel next door, where Wi-Fi can be used. I did inform the customer this, with a response that they did not use technology.
Washing machine - We do not have washing machines in the cottage, but the customer was aware of this as we had a phone conversation prior to their arrival. The Hoover does have all attachments. The customer had used it a few times, and asked me about the brush rotation; it is designed to pick up dog hairs.
The pet charge - The cottage company decide the chargeable rate for a pet stay.
The original booking was for a two week stay, but the customer decided to extend her stay for an additional two weeks. This was done direct; I did not charge for the two dogs and gave a very generous discount. During the customers stay I frequently popped in to make sure all was well, and to see if new bed linen etc. was required. I never had any negative feedback, hence being surprised at the comments.
