It was with much regret that we took the decision to stop pets accompanying their owners on holiday at our cottage. However, as our front garden is not truly enclosed, and there had been instances of some guests allowing their pets to foul in neighbours’ gardens, we felt it no longer tenable to allow pets to stay (with effect from 30/9/19); unfortunately a case of the few spoiling it for the many.
I note your overall score of 5/10, which I feel reflects your disappointment at not being able to stay at Merle Bank again in the future with your pet, rather than your actual experience of staying here this time. Your actual scores for the cottage’s facilities, cleanliness, location etc I noted to be all 8’s and 9’s, so I trust that you did indeed enjoy your stay. We would love to welcome you back in the future if the opportunity arises for you to holiday without your pet.
