We offer two main options when it comes to button-down collars - business shirts (such as this one) and casual. The vast majority of the button-down shirts are casual shirts and these do come with a 'standard' placket, stitched on either side. The business shirts do have this 'hidden' placket, which is stitched on just one side. You can tell the casual shirts from the formal/business by the sizing. Casual has L, XL etc. sizing, while business shirts have neck size/sleeve length.

Agreed - but lacking a standard placket on a button collar shirt forces the second button to bunch - I'd prefer not to buy non-tailored casual shirt to get a decently structured open collar for wear with a heavier fabric in a sport coat such as tweed. Suggest you offer a standard placket or lower the second button.

We try to offer three distinct fits with our shirts, to cater for the widest range of customer builds. Of the three, the Slim Fit is the middle one - so in this sense, it's a 'regular' fit. We have the Extra Slim for a slimmer option, and the Classic Fit for one which is more generous. The Slim Fit is a good all-around option, but is not intended to be particular fitted or tailored in that respect. Unfortunately, monogrammed items are non-returnable as you know, so we can't accept these shirts back. Perhaps a local tailor will be able to adjust them for you so you can still enjoy the quality.
