Generally speaking, we advise that it can take anything from 4-12 weeks before you notice an effect, however, for some people this can be much sooner. My advice would be to ensure that you have adequate vitamin C in your diet, so do continue with the supplement. Give it 8 weeks, taking before and after photos, and see what happens. However, it is important to look out for other changes too. The body is far more clever than us or any science and so it will use the amino acids in the collagen for whatever the body needs. So whilst you may be expecting changes in your skin, you may end up noticing some aches and pain disappear, or your nails grow faster and stronger etc. If you notice no benefits, it is highly unlikely that there is an issue with the product. Our bodies are made up of 30% protein and collagen is the most abundant of these proteins and so your body will break down the collagen into its amino acids and use them. It just may use them for healing and repair that is not visible from the outside. I hope this makes sense! I too love the ease of use of our Bovine collagen, but I would like to take this opportunity to point out that it is very important to make sure you are getting enough vitamin C in your diet, as this is essential for our bodies to absorb the collagen properly. You may also like to consider taking half of the recommended daily amount in the morning, but then half before bed in a fruit tea.
