Dear Customer,
I am so sorry to hear of the bloating and stomach issues you have experienced with our Digestive Enzyme collagen. Whilst we generally do not hear of such problems, it is possible that you may have a sensitivity to bovine (beef) protein, which is in our Digestive Enzyme collagen.
May I suggest the following:
1. Firstly, I would like you to try reducing your collagen. Begin by not taking any collagen for 5 days. Then, after 5 days, start with one teaspoon and stay at this amount for 3-4 days, assuming no reaction. Then, increase to 2 teaspoons for 3-4 days and stay at this amount assuming no reactions. Then, continue to increase on this basis until you reach 6 teaspoons (which is roughly the 13g / 2 tablespoons daily serving). Then, if you are OK at this dosage, you can continue to use the product with no reactions.
2. If you do experience any reaction to the bovine collagen, stop taking it immediately and then wait for another 5 days, taking nothing. After 5 days, try the marine sample in the exact same dose as above and see how you get on, then report back to me with the outcome.
This will enable us to establish whether it is the serving size or the type of collagen that is affecting you. In rare instances, it may be that collagen is not suitable for you at all, but we can cross that bridge when we come to it.
All this said, if you have any concerns, have underlying medical conditions, are pregnant or are worried about your reactions, please stop taking the collagen immediately and speak to your Doctor or medical professional for advice.
In the meantime, if you have any other questions we can help with, then just reach out. We are always here for you.
Wishing you all the best on your health journey.
In love, light, laughter and liberty
Claudia
