Hi I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the poles. We sell hundreds of pairs of this model per annum, without any problem. You would have been welcome to call us and we could have advised and/or directed you to helpful videos. The twist lock on the bottom section can withstand up to 60kg of downward pressure, if tightened correctly To make the poles small enough to fit in the travel bag provided, you simply pull the poles apart and they fit neatly in to the bag with a total length of only 45cm Once again, if you had just given us a call, we could have advised accordingly

Hi. We're sorry to hear you are having problems. It sounds as if you just need to tighten them a little more.The bottom section is a twin lock and if tightened correctly, will withstand over 60kg of downward pressure. If they slip at all, you can just twist slightly more and it will secure.The middle section is quick lock and you can adjust the grip by opening the lever and turning the small knob to shorten the length of the thread so it claims tighter. Again, can withstand the same pressure. both mechanisms are standard on Fizan poles and we sell thousands of pairs per year without problem We will send you a video to demonstrate but let us know if still have problems
