Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Sadly, there were some serious wildfires in the areas of the levadas (including Sao Vicente) which meant that these designated walks were not possible. These are specifically selected for this itinerary as they are moderate levada walks, which is what is described in the trip notes. In terms of the swimming you mention, I have done this trip myself and didn’t choose to swim and spent time enjoying the beach and walking amongst the natural rockpools. There are several options on the free day and we leave it up to guests to decide which ones they would prefer to do. In our experience, this usually works incredibly well, as guests often choose just one or two options, at their own pace.
