Our oak timber retains moisture, and as it dries in your home, it can lead to movements that create rustic characteristics such as splits, knots, and bows. This natural process is what gives air-dried oak its beauty. Typically, most movement occurs within the first few months of being in a new, warmer environment. If you notice that the splits are widening over time and this concerns you, please send us additional photos so we can take another look. If the product does not meet your expectations or if you do not like the rustic features, you can return it within 30 days. Please contact Customer Service for the returns process.
