Thank you so much for your kind review. The period of time described in your review was shortly after our Elegant Soft Wool Baby Shawl was used by the Royal family to present new born Princess Charlotte to the world.

At this time, we were delighted to receive an unprecedented number of orders from around the world. So, this shawl was available as “Pre-order”, with an estimate of the lead time until despatch. Each shawl was knitted and hand finished in our traditional way. It takes up to 2 days and 8 pairs of hands to make every shawl.

During this period, we worked around the clock to get every ones order out as soon as we could, keeping customers updated along the way. This was an extremely unusual event. In normal circumstances, we despatch orders same day or next day.

We hope you find this further information helpful, we hope to be of service in the future.
