Thank you for your kind words relating to our knitted shawls and swift delivery service. We are sorry to read you were surprised by a local sales tax applied to your order on entering France. We mention on our “Terms and Conditions” page and “Delivery Details” page : “If your order is being delivered outside the United Kingdom (UK) your delivery may attract import duties and local sales taxes, which you will be responsible for paying on receipt of your parcel. Duty and custom charges vary by country”. Please note we do not have control over these charges and cannot predict their amounts. From 1st January 2021, there have been changes to local sales taxes applied to goods moving from UK to EU. Unfortunately, we are unable to post extensive advice on taxes for all of the countries we send orders and also keep this up-to-date. Hence a more general statement. But, we are always happy to help and answer questions if you have a specific query? Again, we are sorry you were surprised by the addition of a local sales tax. But hope you are still able to enjoy your purchase.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. Yes, since 1st January 2021 there has been changes to local sales taxes on ALL goods moving between UK and EU. However, whilst we are always happy to help with customer queries, we are not always able to advice on specific taxes in all the many countries we send orders around the world. In this case, you shared specific feedback about local sales taxes in Denmark and we learned something new. Thank you.
