Hi Gavin, Thanks so much for taking the time to send such a detailed response and we are so pleased to hear that overall your experience was a positive one. I am so sorry you didn’t have enough time to come and see us at our marquee and it is such a shame as this is not only where we provide snacks and drinks throughout the entire weekend but it is also our base for the event where we provide you with all of the information you need and can direct you to your grandstand seats aswell as other key areas of interest at the event. It is for this reason that we don’t contact you on arrival as you not only have contact numbers to be able to reach us throughout should you have any questions or queries but also with so many clients at this particular event (we had 200+ this year) it is simply not possible to greet each clients individually or check everything is ok on arrival at your accommodation. We are sorry you felt it was not as personal a service as it could be but with so many guests this is why we organise a marquee where we can welcome you on each day and as I said it is just a real shame you were unable to come and see us there. We are also very sorry that the price increased since you made the original booking in 2019 with a view to attend the 2020 event but following on from the cancellation of that event for obvious reasons we tried our very best to absorb as much of the additional price increases as we could but as they were significant across the board this did mean we had to amend the package price from when you had originally booked. We also had really hoped to use the original accommodation you had booked but unfortunately there had been a change in management during the pandemic there and it meant that not only had they increased their rates dramatically but also they sadly chose to release our original allocation and would not honour this despite us having a contract in place. This meant we had to take the difficult decision to move anyone who was originally booked in that hotel to an alternative nearby option which I sincerely hope was very comfortable. We had to take this decision before all other options became unavailable as I am sure you can appreciate with the scale of this event, options are very limited and we prioritised all clients who had stuck with us and not asked us for a refund. We sincerely appreciate that loyalty and patience and it was vital to us that we repaid all of those clients with a very warm welcome throughout the weekend in our marquee as we love what we do and it is the main reason we are still in business as a result of your ongoing support, so thanks so much again for that. I very much hope to see you at the centenary event in 2023 which promises to be an amazing celebration and we expect availability to be exceptionally limited so if you would like to be notified as soon as the packages go on sale please do let me know to avoid any disappointment.
