We did discuss, at length, the options for having either a hawthorn or blackthorn mixed hedge which would get a certain percentage of Dog Rose, however you asked if there were any cheaper options. We then discussed the 'Bargain Bundles' which worked out much more cost-effective however there was no guarantee of what would be received. You even asked what the possibilities would be and confirmed that as they were all native and similar growth rates it would not cause you a problem. I then confirmed we would not send any Privet in the mix as there was a chance horses could get to the plants. I'm unable to trace with who you spoke after your received your order, however, they should have advised you that, being a 'Bargain Bundle', we could not guarantee what was contained within it.
Thinking about the Hawthorn, whilst the leaves may be dry they will grow through this with relative swiftness, with new buds and leaves taking the place of the drier ones over the late Spring/early Summer.
