Hawthorn, which is also known as Crataegus monogyna, is a fast-growing, deciduous native hedge plant. It bursts into life with an abundance of iscented white blossoms and green leaves, before turning into red fruits, known as 'haws' during the autumn months. Hawthorn's sharp thorns makes it an effective protective barrier around gardens.

Although they came as bare whips they have sprouted well & have 5inch side shoots on 90% of the plants after about 6/7 weeks in the ground.
