Thank you for your feedback. Due to the cold start to this year the second coldest in half a century the growing season is about four weeks behind. This has impacted on both the growth and development of many plants and Cotoneaster can defoliate after periods of harsh weather but will normally quickly recover. I'd suggest you apply a feed to the plant and also the other four plants you purchased that from your comments are already prospering. Please be assured should any of the plants not prosper as a result of them being damaged in transit, we will either issue an appropriate refund to you or replace the plants free of charge. However please note, as detailed on our website, when planting bare roots there is an expected failure rate of circa 10%. Please accept my sincere apologies for the poor service experience you have received. I can assure you appropriate action has been taken with both our Despatch Team and via our Account Manager at our carriers Parcel Force who must have handled the delivery boxes 'roughly'. It really is so disappointing to receive such feedback when we are, as all businesses should be, totally focused on delivering excellent customer service. To hear that a driver has stood and watched your wife unload 60 large plants is whatever company policies and procedures they quote completely unacceptable. Please be assured we will raise your feedback with the carriers we used and will take appropriate action to ensure none of our customers experience such poor service in the future.
