Thank you for your review of Jasper at Brompton Lakes, it was disappointing to read that you experienced problems during your stay. You have indicated that you found the lodge to be too warm and the heating was indicating 28'c. As we explain during our show in, the thermostat reads the current room temperature and not what the heating is set at. My colleague did run through the display settings with you and did explain that the heating was set to the lowest setting and that the lodge would start to cool down if you left the windows open. It is a disappointment that you felt our team 'fobbed you off' in trying to assist you and I can assure you that our team have been fully trained in all elements of our properties, including the operation of the heating system. We provide a comprehensive personal show-in to all of our guests and it is surprising to read that you felt the information provided was inadequate despite this being a service that gains such a positive response from our reviews. I have passed your information regarding the cobweb to our Housekeeping team. We do check all of our lodges prior to guest arrival and also ensure all exterior areas are swept for cobwebs, whilst providing insect spray for use during the summer period. Although the presence of insects are inevitable at lakeside locations, we are clearly disappointed that you felt our cleaning standards did not meet your expectations.
