Thank you for taking the time to review our baby snug with detachable play tray. I can assure you that the tray is designed to be easily released in case of emergencies, we would advise to dampen the suckers and pull the rubber tabs for this to stick that little bit longer. The soft red pad is a removable part as it has a different picture on the reverse, this gives the option to choose between the two or alternate it.
