La Fumée creates an impression of smouldering incense resins. As smoke lifts away from the embers, it brings with it a dramatic arrangement of spice: warm cumin against cool Guatemalan cardamom and coriander seeds. A fusion of Philippine elemi, cistus labdanum and Yemini incense elicits an intriguing translucent smokiness, above a fragrant kindling of leathery birch tar, warm Mysore sandalwood and austere Moroccan cedar.
