Yeats (1865-1939) Ten atmospheric avian cards which reproduce two evocative paintings of sea birds by the London-born artist Vernon Ward (1905-85). A commercial artist, Ward’s work was especially popular in the mid-20th-century. His paintings are admired for their depiction of wildlife and the quality of light they convey. These blustery images comprise of ‘Summer on the Cliffs’ as herring gulls take flight and ‘Breaking Wave Puffins’. Made exclusively for Museum Selection.
