A colourful 5-pin quoits game to entertain all ages. The game, which became known as quoits, is thought to have come to Britain with the Roman invasion in AD 43; it flourished and was, notably, banned by King Edward III in the 1360s (alongside cricket, football and hockey) lest it should distract Englishmen from archery. The game became especially popular in the 19th century, where both sward, sand, deck and indoor quoits variations were played. This set has colourful scoring marks and the wooden target slots together. The five pegs simply screw together to secure the target and act as scoring posts.
