The light should illuminate once it has been left in the sunlight to charge and will only turn on during the evening when it is dark. We have checked our stock and they are working correctly. Our customer service team has been in touch to organise an exchange / refund for you. Many Thanks, Claire

The bottom and glass fell out of one lantern -shattering the glass. Half the floral lights for the second lantern had shed their blooms.
