The Electronic Scale is also an indispensable measuring system for the calibration of imagesetters and in the electronics industry. Available in 7 lengths from 180mm to 1500mm and three different optical systems, the Electronic Scale is supplied with a factory test protocol so integration into your QA system is ensured. Length measurements are achieved with the an inductive strip mounted on a hardened stainless steel guide which provides the electronics with the precise position of the measuring carriage. The guide runs on longitudinal ball bearings, free of any play and wear. The two lateral positioning slides facilitate quick, parallel alignment of the scale with the item to be measured. An easy-to-read display with six millimetre high characters shows a maximum resolution of 0.01 millimetres or 0.0005 inches. A fine adjustment is located immediately next to the display. The vertical arresting screw arrests a part of the measuring carriage. Operation is simple with a horizontal positioning screw moving the carriage sensitively to the measuring point. The zero point for the measurement can then be set by pressing the reset button. After moving the carriage to the second measuring point the result can be read off on the display.Optical System - 3 VariantsThe Electronic Scale is supplied in three optical variants: either 10x Magnifer (ES Model), 25x Microscope (ES-25) or 50x Microscope (ES-50). 10x Magnifier - ES ModelThe ES model is supplied with a premium quality 10x Magnifier with a four coated lens optical system,10x magnification factor, making it possible to move precisely to the measuring point. The magnifier can be focussed for adjustment to suit the operator and is equipped with a glass graticule plate for exact positioning of the measuring carriage. The hard chrome vapour-coated graduations on this plate ensure precise readings.An ingenious parallax control ensures that the viewing angle is perpendicular to the lens. Two lateral positioning slides make parallel alignment of the scale with item being measured simple and quick.25x/50x Microscope - ESM ModelFor very fine positioning the ESM version with microscope maybe be used. The Electronic Scale is then supplied with a 25x or 50x microscope instead of the 10x magnifier.  The ESM microscope version avoids any possibility of parallelism errors (small deviation in readings) that may occur when using the 10x magnifier if the parallax control scale is not used properly by
