About Proper Local
Proper Local are a new name to estate agency, but are not new to estate agency. Far from it. And our vision is simple: Better estate agency for all. A new kind of estate agency. A fair fee for a fair service. If we say “yes”, we mean yes. If we say “no”, we mean no. If we say “we’ll be there at 9.30”, we’ll be there at 9.30. Forward-thinking and of-the-moment. But not changing things for change’s sake, because some things don’t need changing. Proper Local was founded by Christian Thomas, and he’s been an estate agent for over 10 years, bless him. Although Christian has worked across Central, North & East London, his specialism and passion has always been East London. He also happens to have lived in East London since 1999, and on the Isle of Dogs E14 for the last 3 years. We promise you that you won’t ever find us to be anything less than straightforward and transparent. What we are NOT is an online estate agent. We have an office right in the heart of it at 40 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, just next to the station. What we don’t have is a shopfront, because we don’t need one, and nor do you. Sure you can’t look in our window (unless you’ve got a very tall ladder), but you can still pop in for a coffee.
