We are very sorry that you were unable to travel on our popular Canals, Steam & Historic Chester tour. Our records show that you contacted us close to the departure date to enquire about cancelling due to fatigue, but that you didn’t confirm the cancellation. Unfortunately, at that stage everything would have been booked.
Our T&Cs are standard to the travel industry and whilst insurance is mandatory for overseas holidays we still always advise customers on UK holidays to take out holiday insurance particularly to cover instances of cancellation like this, but the choice is left with the customer.
However, in this case we did offer you the opportunity to substitute another customer to travel in your place at no additional cost. As we did not hear back from you, we assumed you would continue with the holiday.
