Good Afternoon, thank you for your feedback. We have measured both the Medium and Large to check our size guide and our findings are that the guide is accurate. Sorry the shirt size did not meet your size expectations but it would indicate from what you have said, that you are measuring in between the two sizes. Unless the original shirt I received was a rogue size there was no way it would fit a 40”” chest. Comfortably. I will keep the large size even though it’s a bit too big but maybe you should do 40-42 size.
