Indeed, it's the largest in The Gambia, although the clever layout provides many different zones, each with its own particular ambience. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay there, Mrs North, and thank you for your kind comments.

The grounds and staff are indeed among the hotel's best qualities and I do believe there will some room refurbishment taking place during the summer, too. Thanks for your feedback, Ms Tulloch - yes, I believe there were some temporary staff shortages but as you say, this is being resolved as I write. And of course, Ngala still offers everything it ever did, including the location, unique accommodation style and welcoming staff, as you rightly mention. Hope to see you back there again one day!
