The reason why your experience was ended when it was, was because your son was driving far too dangerously under a yellow flag before a lap had even been completed, and the reason why you subsequently had to pay for the starter motor to be replaced, is because you had signed the insurance waiver, which the on-site manager explained clearly to you.
Furthermore, the supplier also informed us that you told them, over the course of a discussion arguing why you shouldn't pay for the starter motor, that your son had passed his test two years ago and had not driven since then. The supplier has said, and we concur with them, that common sense dictates that you would not book a single seater experience with such limited driving aptitude.
We will stress quite clearly a condition that is outlined both in the Terms and Conditions sent out to you by the supplier ahead of attending the experience and also on our website: The suppliers at the venue will usually require participants to follow safety procedures. We would ask customers to please do as they ask for your own safety and of those around you. The instructor may need to assist you or direct your attention in certain areas, such as acceleration and braking. Failure by yourself or your son to adhere to this may result in you not being allowed to book a driving experience with us again in future.
Kind regards,
The TrackDays Team.
