Hi thanks for your feedback, sorry you felt like you had this experience last year as you were the only one who felt that way. The game was physical yes, they always are, but we do ask for no slide tackles but we can't control players decisions to slide tackle or not. The lad that was "Booted in the head" actually was seen to by our first aider and put into an ambulance who complimented our handling of the deep head wound. We also followed up with the player for 2 weeks after to check he was all OK and completed a full accident report. You may not have seen us do this as we didn't want to make a scene when everyone was focused on their football. The referee is one of the coaches, however we like to let the players play, see leaders, communicators and see who reacts to certain situations. It is very controlled but does allow for freedom of expression which is what the scouts want to see.
