Hello, thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the experience when travelling with Wightlink. With regards to the pricing, I do understand that it can be frustrating to see the fares are higher than expected. Wightlink uses Flexi-Pricing, which means that prices for a particular crossing may increase in line with demand for that crossing. Our fares also reflect the cost of running our service (which is not subsided). The sooner you book, the more likely you are to pay a lower fare and fares will generally get higher the closer you get to the sailing date, particularly during busier times. Please do keep an eye on our website for ways to save and hope to see you again soon.

Well the journey never happened ,as we got there and told at best it could be a 4hr delay we were only doing a day drip so we had to quickly book another ferry .we got a text just before we left home

The crew work extremely hard to get the service running back on time as soon as possible so we would always advise to check-in on time in case we make time back. If you decide not to travel due to the delays then you can claim a refund on your crossing if booked direct with us. This can be done online or by speaking to one of our staff members in the contact centre. You can find our refund and compensation policy on our website. I am sorry once again and I do hope that if you choose to travel with us again, we can provide a more enjoyable experience.

A four hour delay is not acceptable. Two small old ferries do not provide sufficient capacity. The cost for this poor service is extraordinarily high.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry for the disruption to your sailing and for the impact this had on your travel plans. Victoria of Wight does have to come out of service for its annual refit however, it is planned and the timetable reflects this. Unfortunately, we do lose capacity however, it is a legal requirement and our booking system would not allow us to overbook.
