Hello Gareth, thank you for your feedback. I am glad to hear that the teams were able to accommodate you on an earlier sailing and you found them to be friendly. Other than assistance dogs, we do ask that all other pets stay within the pet friendly areas onboard or remain in their vehicle when travelling with us. Staff do normally ask other passengers to move to a pet friendly area if they are not abiding by the rules so I am sorry if they did not on this occasion. Please do make staff aware if you have any issues onboard moving forward and I am sure they will be more than happy to help. We do understand that it may be frustrating to find that a fare is higher than expected though and in keeping with most forms of domestic transport, including the UK’s national rail network, our Day Return tickets are considerably discounted. Our Period Returns can be considered as our standard fares. This tactical pricing not only reflects the travel restrictions attached to day tickets compared to the flexibility offered by Period Returns but is also designed to encourage day visits to the Island and boost the tourism economy. It also benefits Islanders popping over to the mainland for a few hours. I hope this helps and we see you onboard again soon.
