Hello Mark, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you were disappointed by the cost of your ticket. We use Flexi-Pricing, which means that prices for a particular crossing may increase in line with demand for that crossing. Therefore the sooner you book, the more likely you are to pay a lower fare and fares will generally get higher the closer you get to the sailing date, particularly during busier times. The cost of these tickets reflect the cost of running our service, which unlike many travel operators, is unsubsidised. Thank you once again for your feedback. We do hope you will visit again soon.

Dear David, Thank you for your feedback. We understand that it may be frustrating to find that a fare is higher than expected, and would like to explain the background to it. Wightlink uses Flexi-Pricing, which means that prices for a particular crossing may increase in line with demand for that crossing. Our fares also reflect the cost of running our service (which is not subsided). The sooner you book, the more likely you are to pay a lower fare and fares will generally get higher the closer you get to the sailing date, particularly during busier times. Keeping an eye on our 'offers' tab on our website may give you some ideas on ways to save if you do choose to travel with us again.

Hello Darren, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you feel this way. All early or late arriving traffic need to amend their booking. Economy tickets come with a £25.00 fee plus any difference in fare for amendments. We do not apply this fee to Standard bookings and why we would always advise to book the Standard fare in case of any last minute changes. With regards to delays and cancellations, you can find our compensation policy on our website. Our policy meets the requirements of EU Legislation [EC] No 1177/2010, which sets out the compensation customers are entitled to. Once again, my apologies and hope the above helps.

We arrived with plenty of time to board an earlier ferry but was not allowed on. I’m sure the ferry took more than 20 cars! We were waiting with another car for 1hr 40 mins before our ferry departed.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that the reasoning of not being able to board an earlier ferry was not explained to you and I hope the below helps. We do close check in 30 minutes before departure and once closed, cannot be reopened. We no longer have holding lanes and any early or late arrivals to the port are asked to amend their booking however, if check in had closed this would not have been possible to do. If you do choose to travel with us in the future and wish to sail earlier or later than originally booked, we would advise to amend your booking up to 1 hour before departure to avoid disappointment.

We arrived at Lymington ferry terminal at 7pm for out 8pm ferry crossing. The toilets were closed, so we had to wait an hour to use the toilets on the ferry

Hello and thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, we did close our toilets for a refurbishment at our Lymginton terminal, which I am pleased to confirm has now finished and are back open. We did however, have portaloos in place so I can only apologise that you were not aware of this. I do hope you enjoy your experience if travelling with us again in the future.
