Sorry to hear about the issue you experienced. From a cold start the boiler does need time to heat up to boiling point (just like a kettle needs to boil). Drawing half a cup of water through will clear any tepid water in the system, prior to making your first hot drink in the morning. Once this machine is on the temperature in the boiler remains hot and ready to use.

We are very sorry that the product was not as you expected and the description is that the Nordic’s reactive glaze tableware is handmade and no two pieces are the same each piece is individual with subtle variances in tone from piece to piece. Hi thanks for your comment. We are explicit that this is a manual switch on/off in our product copy. We have another Digital model that has automatic cut off in the range should that be of interest to you. The water is heated as it comes through the machine which factors the flow on the machine.
