Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I am extremely sorry to hear that you are ill and I hope this purchase has not caused you any extra stress. The majority of our wooden products come pre treated with a water based treatment that lasts approximately three months, the timber must then be re-treated with a timber treatment of your choice and done so in accordance with that individual treatments instructions. This varies and may be yearly/ every four years etc, dependent on the type chosen. Due to the fact that timber is a natural product it will need a certain amount of treating and maintenance to ensure the wood is protected and kept in the best possible condition. You only require minimal access to each side, approximately 2 to 3 feet to enable someone to reach these sides after construction.
