The packaging on casual shirts - of which those purchased here are - come without the cardboard in the collar, as they are not designed to have 'stiff' collars. Formal shirts still have this, of course. Packaging of the casual shirts is reduced to be more environmentally friendly, whilst still ensuring protection for the product. It's unfortunate that you appear not to have opened, washed or tried the shirts, as you would have found them to be of the same high quality as always.
