Thanks for the response...however it is very difficult to know when to make a long distance phone call to make complaints that may be rectified. We were promised toilet seats(the mere fact we are discussing lack of toilet seats says it all) and we did not know they would not arrive, so along with all the other issues, you loose the will and try to make the best of a poor experience. In my experience long distance phone calls never really resolve anything. The bigger point is that this villa was not fit for rental. I realise that the owners have not been doing this business for long but it doesn't excuse the slackness and disinterest in getting things right. I did not contact yourselves due to them being on site...living above!!! We had made a connection with them and thought these issues would be resolved immediately.I am uncertain that your involvement would have lead to a quicker and more conclusive resolution,after all we were only there for 10 days.The outside area was a mess and I forgot to mention that not only was the jacuzzi not working but it was also filthy. Having to hand out a lesson in basic service and hygiene standards over the phone seems ludicrous as this should be a given and shouldn't be necessary. Finally with the owners being so present it would have been awkward to involve yourselves. I hope that alleviates your frustration!
