After reviewing the case, sometimes crashing and strange issues that surface are inspired by WINDOWS automatically changing/updating the video driver on the users' system that are often not due to a problem with SOLIDWORKS. We have users bumping into this consistently now and their issues are often corrected by rolling back to the prior driver; Windows Restore function is often a quick way to rollback and then have IT disable the automatic video driver update. I see why Microsoft wants to do this to help keep Windows based systems secure against exploits, but when it comes to video drivers, it can cause problems with GPU heavy applications that depend on them.
