We are sorry this has happened, If you use a cotton cloth and very gently woft this over the surface, hardl touching the surface this will remove the in stain. The application process is to apply the ink and stain remover on a cotton bud, not to rub this in so it spreads the stain, if you apply to a the cotton bud, pull this only the pen stain, then use the dry end to soak up, this will work perfectly this way, if its rubbed on then yes the stain will sadly spread as you have found out, if you can please email us help@leatherrepaircompany.com we are here to help resolve your issues Team LRC
