Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that your travel arrangements were disrupted. Condor Ferries found it necessary to cancel the scheduled sailing from Poole to Guernsey on the 10th March and the sailing from Guernsey to Poole on the 13th March due to adverse weather conditions.
In common with other sea carriers Condor Ferries are limited by law in terms and conditions under which they can sail. We hope you will appreciate that these limitations are set by marine safety agencies in the the interest of passenger safety, which has to be Condor Ferries main priority. If it had been at all possible to allow the sailings to go ahead, they would have been more than happy to do so.
We were concerned that during this time you felt stranded. Our records show that we were in contact with you before you left the UK and whilst you were in Guernsey. Our office contact numbers were also provided on your holiday paperwork as well as our Duty Mobile number as we are contactable 24 hours a day.
We spoke to Condor Ferries on your behalf and have sent you the Delayed Travel Declaration from them as requested. We would like to assure you that we fully understand it is never pleasant for our clients when their travel arrangements do not operate as scheduled, nevertheless, there are times when factors which are out of everyone's control such as adverse weather conditions make such irregularities unavoidable.
