When the box was delivered it was in quite a sorry state and only contained the elements of the bench it self, plus the cushion and the cover. One end of the box had burst open so it was quite likely that small items may have fallen out. I am disabled and had to wait for my son to set about assembling the bench which he did late on Sunday when he was available, incidentally that is only a few days after delivery so please do not make this an item, that is unnecessary. It was too late to phone your office that day so in order to get your attention and enquire after instructions, fixings and other missing items I used the only part of your website where I could enter my enquiry, namely the review section. I could find no email form or enquiry form. Whether this happened to be a public forum such as Google is irrelevant in this case, I had to get your attention, I could not wait until the next working day because my son would not be around to help. If the bench was supposed to be assembled by banging the mortise and tenon joints together, with or without glue, I had no way of knowing without any paper work, but that was all my son could do. We like the bench a lot, it is very comfortable and will be gratefully used by both my wife and myself, we are both retired and in our seventies and in only moderate health. I have lung cancer and look forward to enjoying the fresh air, if in the current climate that is the correct adjective, during the summer. But I do need to know that the bench is safe and does not need gluing, screwing or bolting together. As I said the only contents of the delivery box was the bench itself, the cushion and the cover, no smaller items or paperwork. Also missing from the delivery was a can of teak oil. Can you please tell me whether we are missing anything else regarding fixings etc. Also in the box was a small triangular teak bracket, with what look like either screw or dowel holes. Where does that go on the bench and how is it fixed, screws or dowels, and should there be another bracket (supposedly for the other end). I would gladly give the bench a much higher star rating once I am satisfied with all this and apologise for any embarrassment but I had to get a response from you somehow, thank you, Dennis Mariner.
